ABOUT US

Founder & Owner of Royal Rigging

Colton Roy

Colton Roy brings over 12 years of experience in construction, agriculture, and the oil and gas industry, giving him direct insight into the daily challenges crews encounter. As a Crane Operator and problem solver, he earned a reputation for delivering safe, practical solutions to complex lifting and rigging tasks.
Colton observed recurring industry issues, including slow turnaround times, inconsistent service, poor communication, and limited field expertise. He believed crews deserved support from a company that truly understands job site demands.
This vision led to the founding of Royal Rigging in 2022, a company focused on reliability, industry expertise, quality equipment, and customer-first service. Today, Royal Rigging supports businesses in construction, industrial, marine, and energy sectors to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

how our journey started

Building Royal Rigging, One Step at a Time

2021 to 2023

Royal Rigging started with a simple idea. While working full-time as a crane operator, Colton began buying and selling rigging equipment. Initially, he sold products from his truck and a small storage locker.
In September 2023, Royal Rigging opened its first shop and installed a pull-test bed, enabling the company to test and re-certify chain slings and wire rope slings

May 2024 to May 2025

Colton chose to leave the crane industry to focus full-time on Royal Rigging. The company moved into its first dedicated shop, operating from a single bay with Colton managing all daily operations.
By May 2025, Royal Rigging expanded to three full-time employees: an administrator and two rigging technicians.

November 2025

Royal Rigging added its first flat-deck delivery truck and hired a full-time driver, enabling faster service throughout the Lower Mainland.

March 2026

The team grew to nine full-time staff as demand for inspections, repairs, custom fabrication, and rigging services increased.

April 2026

Royal Rigging relocated to a new 15,000-square-foot facility, expanding from its previous 3,000-square-foot space. This growth marked the launch of the company’s On-Site Inspection & Asset Reporting Service, providing certified rigging inspections directly to clients across the region

June 2026

The company expanded to 12 employees, maintaining its commitment to dependable rigging solutions, inspections, repairs, certifications, and customer support.
